Y. L.'s parents were Joseph Emmett and Nannie Anderson Clem; Verna's parents were James (Jim) L and Nora (Rutledge) Clark.
Verna C.(Clark) Clem, 92, of Strawberry died Monday, April 13, 1998, in a Batesville hospital.
Born in Cave City, she was the daughter of Jim Clark and Nora Rutledge Clark. She was a homemaker and a member of Rosebud Assembly of God in Saffell.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy and Mildred Clem of Strawberry and Willie and Ethel Clem of Trumann; a daughter, Ruby Tippett of Strawberry; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Y.L. Clem; a son, L.J. Clem; a daughter, Lillie Mae Crouch; a brother, Lloyd Clark; and three sisters.
The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rosebud Assembly of God in Saffell with the Rev. Leonard Smith and Rick Poole officiating. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery in Strawberry under the direction of Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Dean Wilson, Denver Wilson, Ricky Clem, Ernest Clem, Leroy Clem, Carl Clem and George Gray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul David Huskey, James L. Wilson, Wandon Wilson, Dr. Andy Davidson, A.L. Moore and A.L. Bennett.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
