GARFIELD — Lucille Deckard, 74, of Garfield died Nov. 4, 2004, at her home. She was born Oct. 10, 1930, in Savannah, Tenn., to Reese and Bess Shaw Guthrie. She lived in Muskogee, Okla., for many years before moving to Garfield. She was owner and operator of Deckard Fireworks in Bentonville for 20 years. She attended Mid-Way Pentecostal Church in Decatur. She enjoyed fishing. She married Oscar George Deckard on April 21, 1947.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Oscar Deckard of the home; her mother of Caruthersville, Mo.; two sons, Don Deckard and wife Shellie of Garfield and Dean Deckard and wife Mary of Gravette; one brother, David Guthrie of Gravette; two sisters, Karen Lewis and Glenda Gurley, both of Caruthersville; six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Mid-Way Pentecostal Church in Decatur with Randy Roughton officiating. Burial will be in Bayless Cemetery near Garfield.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
