Died, May 1st, 1914 at ther home near Hiwasse, Benton county, Arkansas, Mrs. Lottie Woods, aged 63 years and two months. Deceased was born in Cedar county, Mo. March 1st, 1851. Came to Benton county, Ark. with the family in her girlhood. Was married to Azer Woods (deceased) August 9th, 1868. To this union were born 10 children - six sons and four daughters. She is survived by her brothers - Thos. Hansard of Grayson, Texas and Geo. Hansard of Siloam Springs, Ark. - and her 10 children - Mrs. Bell Lambert of Pea Ridge; Mrs. Minnie Bates, Elbert Woods, Miss Pearl Woods, Wm. Woods and Miss Letha Woods of Hiwasse; Dee and George Woods of Sulphur Springs; and Frank and Carl Woods of Neosho, Mo. All the children met with her at her home March 1st in a happy reunion. Some 20 years ago she and her husband began to make this home in an unbroken forest. In the course of events, much of the management and improvement of the home fell upon the the mother, who, with the children, by untiring industry and economy had succeeded in building up a comfortable and self-sustaining home. Her affliction was of a malignant nature and her suffering hastened her death. Her hope and faith were in the Lord Jesus Christ and her death calm and peaceful. The large congregation attending the funeral, which was held at Mount Pleasant Church, testified to the esteem in which she was held by her friends and neighbors. The remains were buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. May the children and kindred all find in the blessed Christ the peace which He only can give. P. Carnahan
