William Russell Allen, son of George W. & Rebecca SHADRICK Allen, husband of Lucinda 'Lucy' Garland Allen. William Russell Allen was born 25 June 1847 and died 25 June 1903. This is the only tombstone in the Allen Cemetery that has a name on it, although there are six other graves marked only with fieldstones. The Allen Cemetery is located about 6 1/2 miles southwest of Huntsville. The Madison County Genealogical & Historical Society has published this cemetery in a book and can provide further information about it. I can be contacted by e-mail for more information.
