HIWASSE CITIZEN DEAD
George Buxton, age 79 years, died Sunday at his home near Hiwasse following a short illness.
Rev. M. Durbin conducted the funeral services which were held at the Mt. Pleasant Church Tuesday afternoon. He is survived by seven children, including Mrs. C.C. Nichols of Hiwasse and Will Buxton of Garfield.

BUXTON, Mrs. Geo. H. (WILLIAMS) - Mrs. Geo. H. Buxton died at her home northwest of Hiwasse early Wednesday morning. She was about 67 years old and was one of the pioneer citizens of this community. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Johnnie of New Mexico and Lloyd of Pittsburg, Kansas and a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Nichols, who with her husband and son, live with her parents. She is also survived by a brother, Lon Williams of Bentonville and other relatives.

(from Hiwasse) The funeral services for Mrs. Geo. H. Buxton was held at Mt. Pleasant Saturday afternoon in charge of Elder Durbin of High Top community. Funeral services were delayed awaiting the arrival of her son, Johnnie, of New Mexico. Her daughter, Ethel, who lives in California did not come for the funeral. Other children are Lloyd of Pittsburg, Kans. and Mrs. Beulah Nichols who took care of her mother. She leaves her husband and a sister, Mrs. Laura Nichols of Hiwasse and a brother, Lon Williams, and other relatives.
