Lawrence - August 25, 1875 - October 21, 1921
Susie - January 31, 1879 - January 13, 1959
Mrs. Susie Pate, aged 79, widow of L. W. Pate, and lifelong resident of Ouachita County died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elbert Harcrow at Eagle Mills at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Pate was born at Millville on January 31, 1879 the daughter of George and Laura Mays Gammill. She was a member of the Bearden Assembly of God Church. She is survived by one son, Morgan Pate of Bearden; four daughters, Mrs. Florence Purifoy, and Mrs. Evelyn Walker, of Bearden, Mrs. Effie Arnold of Thornton and Mrs. Carrie Harcrow of Eagle Mills; one brother, Hosie Gammill of Louisiana; three sisters, Miss Mollie Gammill of Camden, Mrs. Maggie Pennington, and Mrs. Sallie Childers both of Bearden; by ten grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Proctor Funeral Home. (Camden News - January 13, 1959)
