ELGA GALYEAN OF HIWASSE DIES SUNDAY
Elga Galyean died at his home in Hiwasse late Sunday afternoon from complication. He was 41 years of age.
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. R.S. Haydon of Bentonville M.E. Church, South, were held at the Christian Church Monday afternoon. Music was furnished by quartets from Hiwasse. Dug Hill and Gravette and a duet by Mrs. Connelly Banks and Mrs. Ruby Loesch. Burial was made in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
Mr. Galyean was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Galyean and was born at family home east of Hiwasse in 1893.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Essie Galyean and four children, Hunter, Dale, Vivian and Gene Galyean, all of the home.
