May 8, 1928 - August 5, 2017
Pauline Cooksey, 89 of Pocahontas, formally of Hoxie, passed away at her granddaughter’s residence following a lengthy illness.
Born May 8, 1928 in Gillett, AR; daughter of Raymond and Myrtle Powell Recker. She was united in marriage to George Walker Cooksey on March 28, 1947. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and a brother, Raymond C Recker Jr.
Survivors include her son, Steve (Donna) Cooksey of Walnut Ridge; two daughters, Martha (Robert) Davis of Pocahontas and Roxann (Willard) Hibbs of Walnut Ridge; eight grandchildren, Steven Paul, Chip, Krystal, Jill, Kelley, Jordan, C.J. and Mackenzie; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; five sisters, Bonna George, Raylene Wiles, Shirley Inman, Dee Niedermeier and Debbie Harpole; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 2 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel with Robert Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be Steven P Davis, Chip and Jordan Cooksey, Caden Wilson, Devan Hensley, Joe and Justin Winters. Interment will follow in the Lawrence Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1 P.M till 2 P.M. Tuesday.
