Donald William Sluder, 94, of Walnut Ridge passed away January 28, 2024, at the Randolph County Nursing Home in Pocahontas, AR. Donald was born April 7, 1929 in Walnut Ridge, AR to Alvie and Gladys Sluder. Donald was a former Factory worker at Waterloo and worked for the City of Walnut Ridge.

Donald was peceded in death by his parents; wife Doris Sluder; sons, Don (Bug) Sluder, Danny Sluder and Keith Sluder; brothers, Bob Sluder and Carlton Sluder; sisters, Helen Sluder, Joyce Sluder, Vida Mae Sluder and Fern Sluder; Grandsons, Donny Sluder and Jerry Lee Ferrell; and great grandson David Hughes.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Sue (Gobel) Ratliff of Michigan, Linda Rowe of Michigan, Karen (Kelvin) Howard of Walnut Ridge and Kathleen Lassiter of Walnut Ridge; son, Kenneth (Jutta) Sluder of Walnut Ridge; daughter's-in-law, Sonja Sluder of Michigan and Connie Sluder of Walnut Ridge; brother, Stanley Sluder of Walnut Ridge; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday January 31, 2024, at House-Gregg Funeral in Walnut Ridge from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Funeral Service will begin @ 2:00pm with burial at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.

All arrangements are under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge and Lynn, AR.

WALNUT RIDGE Doris Sluder, 69, of Walnut Ridge died Thursday, March 14, at her residence. Born in Union City, Tenn., she was a retired factory worker and of the United Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Sluder; four daughters, Sue Trierweiler of Clinton, Mich., Linda Rowe of Plymouth, Mich., and Karen Howard and Kathleen Sluder, both of Walnut Ridge; three sons, Donald Sluder of Westland, Mich., and Kenneth Sluder and Keith Sluder, both of Walnut Ridge; her parents, Dee and Polly McMullen of Plymouth; seven brothers, Dale McMullen of Westland, Tom McMullen of Fenton, Mich., Ronald McMullen, Harry McMullen and Larry McMullen, all of Plymouth, Donald McMullen of Livonia, Mich., and Jack McMullen of Canton, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie, with Marty Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Sluder, Larry Trierweiler, Jason Trierweiler, Kevin Trierweiler, Donnie Sluder, Rick Sluder and Jerry Lee Ferrell.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
