GRAVETTE - A.J. Pritchard, 88, of Gravette died June 10, 2005, at Gravette Medical Center in Gravette. He was born on Dec. 9, 1916, in the Mt. Zion Community to John William and Samantha Adaline "Addle" (Locke) Pritchard. He married Helen "Ilene" Roberts on March 25, 1939, at Pineville, Mo. He worked most of his life at the Gravette Shelling Company. He retired in 1982 after 29 years of employment. He also raised cattle and farmed with his wife in Gravette for over 66 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen on April 8, 2005; an infant son, Jimmy Lee Pritchard; a great-granddaughter, Carly Ilene Leonard.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Bob Pritchard and wife Marcia of Gravette; a daughter, Linda S. Pritchard of Gravette; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Effie Harris of Gravette and Dorothy Whorthen of Gentry.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Raymond Scott officiating at the Bella Vista Funeral Home in Bella Vista.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at the Lee Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, 72715.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the "Friends of Gravette Hospital," 1101 S.W. Jackson, Gravette, 72736.

Helen "Ilene" Pritchard, 82, of Gravette died April 8, 2005, at Gravette Medical Center in Gravette. She was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Cherokee City. She raised cattle and farmed with her husband in Gravette for over 66 years.
Survivors include her husband A.J. Pritchard, of the home; a son, Jerry Bob Pritchard and wife Marcia; a daughter; Linda S. Patton, all of Gravette; a brother, Gene Higday of California; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bella Vista Funeral Home in Bella Vista with the Rev. Raymond Scott officiating. Burial will be at the Lee Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday.
