When Cornelia Anne Adams was born on June 23, 1852, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, her father, Caswell, was 37, and her mother, Emily, was 33. She married Singleton Adams on December 1, 1870, in Dallas, Arkansas. They had 14 children in 25 years. She died on July 5, 1941, in Dalark, Arkansas, at the age of 89, and was buried in Dallas, Arkansas.

Mrs. Cornelia Ann Adams, 89, of Little Rock, mother of J. Q. Adams of Searcy, passed away early this Saturday morning at Manning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charlie Bettis, whom she was visiting. She had been very ill for several weeks.
Mrs. Adams was born in Georgia June 23, 1852. When quite young she moved to Dallas county, Arkansas where she spent the greater part of her life.
She was a member of the Baptist church, and was a very active worker in all phases of church life as long as her health would permit. She was of a happy, unselfish disposition and was a kind, loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a good neighbor and friend. She and her late husband were very prominent in South Central Arkansas and she will be greatly missed by her many friends over the state as well as by her loved ones.
Mrs. Adams is survived by seven children, Albert Adams of Crockett, Texas, Mrs. Jack Pennington of Arkadelphia, Mrs. Charlie Bettis of Manning, Jim and Walter Adams of Manning, Mrs. G.S. Weaver of Little Rock, with whom she made her home, and J.Q. Akams of Searcy; 43 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and three great, great, grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow in Manning with burial in Holly Grove cemetery.
