Cenotaph
Elkanah & Mary E Anderson are not buried at this actual location, and this tombstone is a "memorial" stone only. Their graves are located on their homestead near here, and were marked only with fieldstones. Their graves are known to be on the homestead by family members but could not be found in the 1950's and since that time bulldozing has been done there and no fieldstone markers can be found.
