RIFE, Sarah Alberta MIDDLETON - Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Alberta Rife, aged 54, wife of William K. Rife, who died at the Rife home south of Bentonville Sunday afternoon after a long illness, were held Monday afternoon at the family residence with a large number of relatives, neighbors and other friends paying tribute to her life and memory. The services were conducted by the Rev. R.S. Hayden, pastor of the Bentonville Methodist Episcopal Church, South and interment was made in the Hart cemetery southeast of Bentonville. Mrs. Rife was born and reared in this section and had spent practically her entire life in the Morning Star community, the neighborhood in which she died. Besides her husband, who is one of the best known farmers of this section, she is survived by two sons, Vern Rife, owner of the Rife Produce and Grocery Company of Bentonville, and Aver Rife, of near Bentonville, and one daughter, Mrs. James Carlson of Rogers; and by her mother, Mrs. Columbus Middleton; one sister, Miss Flora Middleton, and two brothers, Frank and Sam Middleton, all of near Bentonville. Both the Rife and Middleton families are among the oldest and most highly respected of this county and state.
