Rogers, May 7 (Special) - Funeral services for William W. Giddens, 49, who died in Denver, after a long illness, was held Sunday afternoon at Burns Funeral Home by the Rev. Rel Gray, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial was in the Hart cemetery southwest of Rogers.

Mr. Giddens was born in the Hebron community southwest of Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Wood Giddens, three sons, a daughter, four sisters, and two brothers.

MRS. BESSIE GIDDENS
Rogers -- Mrs. Bessie Edith Giddens, 79, died Tuesday in a Tulsa nursing home. She was born March 4, 1898 near Rogers, the daughter of Harry and Lida Merryfield Wood.

Survivors are three sons, John and Wilson of Tulsa and Glen of Collinsville, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Wilson of Carthage, Mo. and Mrs. Doris Hope of Hayward, Calif.; one brother, Cecil Wood of Rogers; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Boyd of Rogers, Mrs. Ethel Cowan of Tulsa and Mrs. Lora Lyon of Modesto, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Hart's Cemetery near Rogers under the direction of Burns Funeral Home.
