Lawrence was a son of Grover Cleveland Nora Isabell Webb Byrd.
Orean was born in the Big Creek community to Alford and Emma Keisler Bailey. She died April 25, 2007, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence Byrd, and one sister, Bertha Byrd. Survivors included daughters, Laveta Hixon and husband, Jimmie, Kay Speer and husband, Bob, all of Poyen; sister, Carmon Byrd of Haskell; grandchildren, Regina Webb, Paul Hixon, David Speer, and Michelle Crow; great-grandchildren, Corey Webb, Courtney Webb, April Hixon, and Scott Canada; and great-great grandchild, Joey Canada.
