Services are scheduled for 10:30AM today (Thursday) at Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Martha Daisy Knight,, 86, of Mt. Home, wife of John Van Knight, who died here on Tuesday. A Methodist and a lifetime resident of Baxter County, she had lived in the Buford community for many years before moving to her home on State Highway 5 NW.
Mrs. Knight was born in this county on Feb 10, 1885, the daughter of George Smith and Martha Morgan Smith. She was married on Sep 2, 1906.
Survivors included her husband of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Duggins of Mt. Home and Mrs. Ida Lou Arthur and Mrs. Lessie Fooks, both of Chilhdwee, MO; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Rev. John McCormack will officiate at today's service, and interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Buford. The McClure-Smith Service is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Knight's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
