John Edward Ashley, 69, of Prairie Grove, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 1995, at Washington Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 4, 1926, in Big Spring, Texas, the son of Lowe Ashley and Zora Tabor Ashley, he was a member of the Providence Baptist Church and the Dudes and Dolls Square Dance Club of Fayetteville.
Survivors are his wife, Molly Clement Ashley of Prairie Grove; four sons, Michael Ashley of Springdale, Dennis Prater, Darrell Prater and Rusty Ashley, all of Prairie Grove; three daughters, Janeice Barnes of Knott, Texas, Darla Trout of Prairie Grove and Elaine Reecer of Puyallup, Wash.; two sisters, Jimmie Pearl Robertson of Grapevine, Texas, Jane Gillmore of San Angelo, Texas; his mother and stepfather, Edgar and Zora Ashley Phillips of Big Spring, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Prairie Grove, with the Rev. Joe Hall officiating.
Burial will be in Illinois Chapel Cemetery in Prairie Grove. Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.
