September 26, 1895 - December 4, 1976

McKinley Curtis, 81, of Rt. 2 Box 194, Chidester, died Saturday in the Leisure Lodge Nursing Home on Old Magnolia Road. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Good Hope AME Church at Chidester with Rev. W. L. Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home of Camden. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Thelma Curtis of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Luvenia Miller of Detroit, Wisc., Mrs. Jessie Lee Beard of Detroit and Mrs. Elsie Lee Hubbard of Gary, Ind. and one son, Freddie Gene Curtis of Rockford, Ill; one step, Felton Hill of Cleveland, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Flora Williams of Kansas City, Kan. and Mrs. Ida Eudora Williams of Cleveland, Ohio, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
