Mary Melbareen (Alexander) Robinson the wife of Elvis Elwood "Jack" Robinson. Mary Melbareen (Alexander) the daughter of Floyd Alexander and Bonnie Alexander.

Mary Melbareen (Alexander) Robinson

Mary Melbareen Robinson, 85, of Hoxie, died Feb. 12, 2007, in Walnut Ridge.

She was a retired registered nurse and had lived in Hoxie the past 26 years, after moving from California. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Jack Robinson; a daughter, her parents, Floyd and Bonnie Alexander, a sister, a brother and three grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Eugenia Robinson, Hoxie, Towana Craft, Walnut Ridge, and Sally Jones, Ravenden; four sons, Billy Robinson, Hoxie, Jack Robinson and Teddy Robinson, both of Manteca, Calif., and R.H. Johnson, Sacramento, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Donnie Bromley, Walnut Ridge; a sister, Roberta Lester, Antioch, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at House-Gregg Chapel with Derek Collins and Randy Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery at Imboden under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Robinson, Jackie Robinson, Billy Taylor Jr., Bo Johnson, Billy Stafford Jr. and Carl Day. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Day and Earl Day.

Visitation is Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8 at the funeral home.
