IMBODEN -- Archie "Jr." Perrin of Imboden died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 89.

He was born May 22, 1917, in Ravenden Springs, the son of the late Arch and Dora Lemmons Perrin. He was united in marriage to Vivian Ratliff on Feb. 24, 1940, at Alton, Mo. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2003.

Mr. Perrin served as a captain in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Imboden Lions Club, Ravenden Masonic Lodge, Williford Alumni Scholarship Fund, Imboden Church of Christ and an alderman on the Imboden Water Board.

Survivors include his son, Dr. Newton Perrin, and daughter-in-law Marijean of New York; great nephew, William Riley Adams of Imboden; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Imboden Church of Christ with Tim Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service at Walnut Ridge.

Visitation will be from 5-8 Monday evening in the funeral home.
