Grace Hurt, 82 year old resident of Colcord, Okla., died at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 1977, at the Gravette Memorial Hospital. She was born January 22, 1895, in Oklahoma Indian Territory, the daughter of Marion and Sarah Kelly. She was preceded in death by her husband Payton Hurt in 1968. She was a life long resident of Colcord, Okla., area.
Survivors include: six sons, Troy of Colcord, Okla., Roy of Siloam Springs, Glen of Gentry, Marvin of Tulsa, Okla., Junior of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Barney of the home; three daughters, Audrey Wooten of Maysville, Ark., Barbara Jackson of Tulsa, Okla., and Joyce of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Phagan, Mrs. Ernest Rodgers both of Gravette, Ark., one brother, Bill Kelly of Cherokee City, Ark., also twenty-six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 1977, at the Draper Community Center at Colcord, Okla., with the Rev. Doyle Ginn of Tulsa, Okla., officiating. Burial was in the Dickson Cemetery, Cherokee City, Ark., under the direction of the Green-Wilson-Cunningham Funeral Home of Pryor, Okla.
