Mrs. Ruth Aileen Duran Grisham, 78, of the Oakland community at Holland died Thursday (March 18, 1999) at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 7, 1920, in Paducah, Ky., a daughter of Charles Lewis and Florence Emily Miller Allen, she was a retired sales clerk and housewife. She was also a volunteer at Conway Regional Medical Center for many years and a member of Holland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard Duran; all of her siblings; and a son, Warren Ellis Duran.
Survivors are her husband, Lowell C. Grisham; five sons, Richard Duran, David Duran and Jerry Duran, all of Little Rock, Dennis Duran of Rison (Cleveland County) and Mike Duran of the Holland community; four daughters, Kathryn Duran Duffy and Ginger Duran Phipps, both of Hilton Head Island, S. C., Diana Duran of Morgantown, W.Va., and Teresa Duran Emery of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; four stepchildren, Bill Grisham of Little Rock, Shirley Sides of Russellville, Mark Grisham of the Holland community and Beth Bost of Morrilton; a stepbrother, Jimmy Coker of North Little Rock; a half-sister, Alice Longacre of Benton; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with Jim Yates and James Haggard officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery at Holland.
Pallbearers will be Michelle Martisek, Amanda Duran, Angela Duran, Alex Duran, Allen Quick, Jim Quick, Adam Jankowski, Elliot Duffy, Mary Duran and Mark Grisham.
