F. M. Gentry Dies Following Long Illness
Franklin Morrow Gentry, age 71, highly respected citizen of Dolph, died at his home Wednesday, July 30, 1947, after an illness of several weeks.
Mr Gentry was born and reared in this vicinity and all of his life was spent in Izard and Baxter Counties. He was married to Florence King on Jul 8, 1907, who preceded him in death in 1935. He was converted early in life and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and remained a faithful Christian through the remainder of his life. He was a ruling elder of the church for several years.
Surviving, are two brothers, Chester Gentry of Dolph and Sam Gentry of Missouri.
Funeral services, held August 1 were conducted by Rev W. T. Watson of Calico Rock and Rev Y Whitfield of Pineville.
