Mrs. Minnie Fricks Raymond, 87, of Norfork, a lifetime resident of Baxter County, died last Thursday at a local hospital.
The wife of William Harvey 'Harve' Raymond of Norfork, she had resided for the past several years at the Rest Haven and Twin Lakes Nursing Homes. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Galatia Methodist Church, near Norfork, and interment was in the Galatia Cemetery. Bro. Bill Richardson of Mt. Home Church of Christ was the officiating minister and the McClure Service was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Ed Simpson, Gene Adams, Paul Hogan, Frank Lawrence, Dobby Harvey and Hoyd Lewis.
Mrs. Raymond, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Fricks, was born in this county on June 7, 1880. She was married to Mr. Raymond in 1918, and most of their married life was spent in the Galatia community.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Raymond is survived by a stepson, H.H. Raymond of Cotter; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Esta Mae Messick of Route 1, Gassville, and Mrs. Octavia Trautwine of Norfork.

(Note: The birth date inscribed on the gravestone is June 28, 1880; however, her obituary gives the birth date as June 7, 1880. It should be noted that the obituary also indicates that interment was in the Galatia Cemetery, and obviously that was in error.)
