Stonewall F. "Stoney" Lewis was born July 29, 1918, at Indiahoma, Oklahoma, a son of the late Clarence Ruff Lewis and Linnie Jane Whitaker Lewis. He served in the Navy during World War II and in the Air Force during the Korean War. He died at the Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was preceded in death by one son, Phil Lewis. Survivors included his wife, Gladys Reaves Lewis who died one month later; one son, Scott Lewis of Sheridan; one daughter, Pat Lewis Humphries of Sheridan; and two grandchildren.
