Jasper Garland "J.G." Nichols, Jr the son of Jasper Garland Nichols, Sr and Virginia Marguerite (Veal) Nichols. Janet Elwanda (Lamb) Nichols the daughter of Walter Lamb and Thelma (Buchanan) Lamb.

Janet Elwanda Nichols, 65, of Conway died April 5, 2008, at the Salem Place Nursing Home in Conway.

Born Aug. 9, 1942, in Sedgwick, she was a homemaker and a member of the Sedgwick United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.G. Nichols, whom she married Aug. 9, 1959; and her parents, Walter and Thelma Buchanan Lamb.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Shaw and husband Randy, Conway; a son, Tim Nichols and wife Angie, Sedgwick; a brother, Lloyd Lamb, Jonesboro; two sisters, Joan Bradley, Hoxie, and Rebecca Willcockson, Corinth, Texas; four grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services was Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick, with Bro. Marion Stringer officiating. Bryan Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Heath Shaw, Jeff Shaw, William Shaw, Chris Ridge, David Heslep and Dekota Heslep.
