Rev. Howard Ross Nabors, 72, of Chidester died in a Camden hospital Sunday after a brief illness. Rev. Nabors, born in Union County, had lived in Chidester 40 years. He had been a Methodist minister for 52 years. At the time of his death he was serving at the Westside Methodist Church in Camden. He was a retired postmaster in Chidester, a mason and a shriner. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rosa Lee Jerry Nabors; one daughter, Mrs. B. D. Bartee of Dallas, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Esther Stegall of El Dorado; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Westside Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Rhodes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home of Camden.
