Franklin Archie Sharp of Ash Flat, Ark., died Oct. 17,1975, at his home,at the age of 86 years, 5 months, 13 days. He was born May 4, 1889, in Izard County, son of John and Jane Sharp. Mr. Sharp was a member of the Baptist Church. One daughter, Freida Fowler, preceded him in death. Survivors include: Frances Sharp, his wife; one son, John W. Sharp, Evening Shade, Ark, and two daughters, Margaret Jackson, Ash Flat,Ark.,and Ethelene Johns, Evening Shade, Ark.Two half-brothers: W.E. Sharp, Elk City, Okla.,and Guy Sharp, Ash Flat, Ark; one half-sister, Madge Campbell, Tarzana, Calif. Twenty-one grandchildren,42 great-grand children,2 great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.Funeral services were held Oct 19, 3:30 P.M. in the Ash Flat Baptist Church, with Rev.Cooper and James officiating. Burial was in the Wiles Cem. under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home in Hardy. [Submitted by sjones from copy of obit.]
