Ava Janet Reep Hairston, 98, of Warren, AR passed away peacefully on December 14, 2020 in Little Rock. She was born May 28, 1922 in Rye, Arkansas to John B. Reep and Ethel Doster Reep.

She was a Christian, homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved sports and excelled at basketball for Drew Central High School. She was a longtime member of The First United Methodist Church in Warren. Everyone that knew her loved her because of her kindness, her smile and her sense of humor.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Addison Hairston, her parents, her brothers Glen Reep, J.B.Reep, Jr and her sisters Gladys Curry, Ruth Curry, Eleanor Echols, Lois Lack and Freda Cubage.

She is survived by a son William Addison "Chip" Hairston, Jr and spouse Pam, daughter Jill Hairston and a grandson Will Hairston III all of Little Rock.
She is also survived by some special nieces and nephews: John Lack, Eddie Ann Reinhart, Barbara Dardenne, Glena Bratton, Jan Walters, Wanda Rogers, Virginia Brown, Randy Echols, Glynis Evans, Jana Fendler and Marty Martin.

She lived a long, fruitful life and is now at peace enjoying her reunion with beloved family members and friends who went before her.

Graveside services 2:00PM Friday, December 18th at Oakland Cemetery. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation before the service at Oakland Cemetery. Memorials preferred the Bradley County Veteran Museum, 210 North Main Street, Warren AR 71671
