Ms. Renea Aulds Brantley, 52, of Houston, Texas, died November 26, 2012 at the East Houston Regional Medical Center. Ms. Brantley was a native Portland; a resident of Portland for most of her life and a former resident of Hamburg. She graduated from Portland High School in 1977. She was a Medical Records Assistant Administrator for the State of Texas and a member of the Aulds Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charley & Pauline Morris Aulds.
She is survived by a daughter, Logen Brantley of Houston, Texas; a brother, Michael Aulds of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a niece, Miranda Fontenot and a nephew, Casey Aulds both of Lake Charles, Louisiana and a host of cousins.
Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E.W. Ricks officiating. Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ronnie Morris, Franklin Ricks, Dave Hackett, Jerad Selby, Keith Ladd and Lane Hunter. Honorary pallbearers are Buck Fryar, Grady Henson, Powell Aulds and Donnie Goodwin. Memorials may be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Fund, PO Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210-4486.
