Zelma Ardella Jones, 78, of Huntsville; passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville. She was born Thursday, May 16, 1946, at Mangum, Oklahoma; to Bun and Velma Elizabeth Thompson.
Zelma married Joe Everett Jones on Tuesday, June 17, 1986, in Amarillo, Texas. Together, they were blessed with four children: Cheryl, Johnny, Pamela, and David. Zelma was known for her warm and cheerful personality, always making friends wherever she went. She cherished the outdoors, enjoying activities like hunting, fishing, and tending to her beautiful flowers. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, who meant the world to her.
Zelma was preceded in death by her parents, Bun and Velma Thompson; two brothers, Clovis and JB Thompson; and one daughter-in-law, Ramona Rathjen.
She is survived by her Husband, Joe Jones of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Gary Rusk of Bentonville and Pamela and Brent Watkins of Harrison; two sons, Johnny Warren of Oklahoma, and David Rathjen of Huntsville; eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
