Martha Sue Brown Hays age 76 of Warren, AR. died Tuesday, September 11th at her home. She was born December 28th, 1935 in Bradley County AR. a daughter of the late Archie Brown and Maude Matkins Brown, she was a housewife and homemaker and Jehovah Witness. She was preceded in death by her husband James "Sonny" Hays, whom she married December 8th 1953 and he died February 25th, 2011. 3 brothers Bill Brown, Paulus Brown and Archie Brown, a sister Markelita Brown and 2 grandchildren Jocelyn Sedberry and Teresa Gail Hays also preceded her in death.
Survivors include 3 sons, Jimmy Hays, Steve Hays and Johnny Hays all of Warren, AR. 1 daughter Judy Sedberry, Warren, AR. 4 sisters, Betty Nichols, Warren, AR. Bernice Johnson, Little Rock, AR.; Mary Copeland, Little Rock, AR. and Patty Wilson-Banks, Pine Bluff, AR. 5 grandchildren Dannette, Marcus, Amelia, Trevor, Tyler and 4 great-grandchildren Dustyn, Maya, Jayce and Estella.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Friday September 14, Frazer's Chapel by Steve Mann. Gay Young was the pianist and soloist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bart Nichols, Brett Nichols, Josh Nichols, Randy Wooldridge, Deon Wolfe and Nazaire Minton. Honorary pallbearers were Ashley Johnston, Boyce Hamlett, James Thompson, Jerry Gates, John Wooldridge and Mike Mercer.
