Leslie Edward Degges, age 80, of Warren, Arkansas died Friday, February 13, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. He was born August 24, 1923 in Ashley County, Arkansas a son of the late Ira D. Degges and Eva Gibbs Degges. He was a U S Army World War II disabled veteran, a retired electrician and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Murlene Barrett Degges whom he married on July 23, 1955; 1 son Dr. Russell Degges, MD, Jonesboro, Ark.; 1 daughter Cheryl Rose, Farmington, Ark.; 2 brothers Donald Ira Degges, Nashville, Tenn. and Thomas Degges, Crossett, Ark.; 3 sisters Frances Walker, Baton Rouge, La., Marceil Davis, Angleton, Tex. and Eva Morgan, Houston, Tex.; 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30 pm Sunday, February 15, at Frazer's Chapel by Rev Craig Jenkins. Janice Sullivan was the organist Burial with military honors was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Paul Degges, Stewart Simmons, Bill Jones, Gary Thornton, Tim West, Bobby Hargrave and Dennis Young.
