Mrs. Norma Jean Smith, age 81 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Monday October 31, 2022, in Hope, Arkansas. Norma was born on August 8, 1941, in Hope, Arkansas, to Pierce and Etoi Moody McCorkle.

She is retired from National Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Service. Norma's favorite pastimes were rolling change to carry to the bank and watching Hallmark Holiday Movies.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Barbara Johnson, Lisa Smith and brother, Cecil McCorkle.

Survivors include; husband William Smith, son; James "Bo" Smith, two grandchildren, Michael ( Kristie) Braddock, Tabetha ( Thomas) Rosenbaum, four great-grandchildren; Dustin, Carson, Lily, Hunter, a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday November 1, 2022, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 South Main St. Hope, Arkansas 71801.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Wednesday November 2, 2022, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest with Bro. Ernie Sorrells Officiating.

Burial will follow at Huckabee Cemetery.

William Thomas “Smitty” Smith, age 90, passed away on Thursday December 5, 2024. He was born on July 30, 1934, to Earl and Viola Smith in Emmet, Arkansas. Smitty was a United States Army Vet, was retired AR Highway Department, and was retired school bus driver for Spring Hill School District. He loved camping and watching all sports, especially baseball.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife of 65 years Norma J. Smith, two daughters Barbara Johnson and Lisa Smith, one brother Paul “Red Horse” Smith, and three sisters Louise Dowings, Elizabeth Smith, and Amanda Smith.

Left to cherish his memory are his son James “Bo” Smith, four brothers Henry,
Robert, James, and Wayne Smith, grandchildren Michael and Kristie Braddock, Tabetha and Thomas Rosenbaum, great grandchildren Dustin, Carson, Lily, and Hunter.

Visitation will be held Sunday December 8, 2024, in the Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Monday December 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel with Bro. Ernie Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow at Huckabee Cemetery.
