Clair Christy Henry, 90, of Van Buren, Arkansas formerly of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in a local hospital. He was born on August 28, 1924 in Brookfield, Ohio to Richard and Alice (Christy) Henry.
He retired after 40 years from Parker Solvents where he had worked in various positions. He was a World War II Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elinor, his son, Richard Allen Henry and grandson, Jason Allen Coombes.
Clair was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt but first and foremost he was a family man.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sandra Hunter and her companion Terry McVey and Debra Coombes and her husband Richard both of Van Buren, Arkansas; one son, Ricky Henry of Conway, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Bryan Altman of Huntington, Arkansas and Brandon Coombes of Van Buren, Arkansas; five great grandchildren, Kara Marie Jones and her husband Anson, Braydon Coombes and his wife Dee, Courtney and Makayla Coombes and Easton Ridge Altman and one step great grandson, Kyle Suter.

HACKETT Elinor "Tot" Henry, 80, of Hackett died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. today at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She is survived by her husband, Clair; two daughters, Sandy Hunter of Fort Smith and Debbie Coombes of Van Buren; a son, Ricky Henry of Fort Smith; a sister, Evelyn Samuels of Tulsa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
