*Obituary
Norma Jean Pike, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, at her home in Washington, Arkansas, just shy of her 88th birthday. Born on November 22, 1936, in Decatur, Arkansas, Norma lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and a profound love for her family.

Norma was cherished for her gentle spirit and her kind-hearted nature, always ensuring that everyone around her was comfortable and content.

Norma's love story began on October 14, 1971, when she married her dear husband, Artie Pike. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and joy until Artie's passing. Norma's love for him will remain everlasting as she rejoins him in eternal rest on their cherished property.

Her professional life was spent in dedication to the State of Arkansas, where Norma worked for three decades until her retirement in 1999. Beyond her work, Norma had an immense love for animals, and they held a special place in her heart. Whether it was tending to her beloved cats, dogs, or cattle, Norma found joy and purpose in caring for them, her love for animals serving as a testament to her nurturing character.

A devoted family woman, Norma delighted in capturing memories through photography and cherishing time spent with her loved ones. Her family was her greatest treasure. Her passing leaves her children Randy Smith, Steven and Terra Smith, grandchildren and great grandchildren to carry forward her legacy of compassion and love. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur “Artie” Pike, her sister Barbara Jones, and her parents Clyde and Lucy Londagin.

Her home was a haven for family—a place filled with the aroma of her cooking, the laughter of her children, grandchildren and friends, and the comfort of shared stories.

In honoring Norma's wishes, her immediate family will be scattering her and her husband's ashes on their property. Her family finds solace in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” embracing Norma's memory with love and gratitude.
