HENRYETTA MOREHART SHEMWELL SMITH, of Mabelvale, passed from this world on Thursday, March 27, 2008. HenryEtta was born on July 4, 1923, and grew up in Mabelvale, Ark. She was married to Ralph Ewing Shemwell, who preceded her in death. Henry-Etta was a member of Mabelvale Methodist Church. She later wed Hollis Smith, who also preceded her in death. HenryEtta and Hollis resided together in Heber Springs, where HenryEtta was a constituent member of Heber Springs First Methodist Church. Her Christian faith gave her much inspiration and comfort through the years.
HenryEtta is survived by her adoring daughter; her favorite son-in-law; and her darling granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry R. Morehart and Lillie Elizabeth Orick Morehart, as well as her siblings W. Lindsey Morehart, Minnie LeMaire Mercer and Warren Harding Morehart of Memphis, Tenn. HenryEtta is survived by her other siblings Lillian M. Boatman and Henry Morehart Jr. of Mabelvale, and Charles T. Morehart (Margaret) of Fort Smith, Ark. HenryEtta is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Last, HenryEtta and her family are especially grateful to the caring staff and residents at Sherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, especially Barbara, Debbie, Lynette and her friend Zora Roe.
The family will receive visitors at Griffin-Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock, Ark., between 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 29. A graveside service will follow immediately at noon on Saturday, March 29, at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 North, Alexander, Ark., with Reverend Marcia Dobb officiating.
