Obituary
Gwendolyn L. Thompson, 75, of Southside, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022.
She was born October 4, 1947 in Batesville, Arkansas to Edgar Corter and Bevie (Brewer) Corter.
Gwendolyn was a member of First Assembly of God. She worked at White Rodgers for many years, but her passion later in life became volunteering at White River Medical Center. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She loved her grandkids very much.
Survivors include her husband, Dwane Thompson of Southside; her son, Edwin Thompson of Magness; two grandchildren, Cameron Thompson and Madison Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers are Joe Moody, James Pagan, Tim Moody, Tim Thompson, Jim Walker and Billy Corter. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Runyan, Dwayne Dickey, Don Mills, Steve Moody, members of The River City Cruisers, staff of White River Medical Center's 4th Floor and Dr. Kahn and his staff.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at First Assembly of God with Jeff Cox and Terry Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Levisy Flats Cemetery in Mountain View.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Memorials may be made in her honor to White River Medical Center Auxiliary, 1710 Harrison Street, Batesville, AR 72501.
