Michael Wayne Cox, 68, of Jacksonville, AR went to his heavenly home on November 4, 2024. He was born June 21, 1956 in Ft. Worth, TX to Wayne and Delores Cox.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Delores Cox of Jacksonville, AR. Also by his sisters Janeice Cox of Jacksonville, AR, Denise Batson (Wayne) of Hampstead, NC, Amy Boswell (Randy) of Sherwood, AR and brother David Cox (Lesa) of O’Fallon, IL. He was also remembered by 5 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews, along with many cousins.
Mike served his country in the US Navy for 5 years after graduating high school. He worked as an over the road truck driver for many years before retiring because of medical issues.
Mike was an avid lover of animals. He was known to feed the birds, squirrels and stray cats. You could also find him playing with his neighbor’s dogs and especially loving on Chloe, Gracie and Millie.
The family will have a private gathering in the coming days. Memorials can be sent to your local animal shelter.
