Violet Wray Gaiser Russ

A lifelong resident of Saline County, Violet Gaiser Russ, passed away November 13, 2015 at Saline Hospice House in Bryant at the age of 91. She was born to Tobe and Della Wray on January 28, 1924 in Collegeville, Arkansas. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Russ was preceded in death by her husbands, George Jacob Gaiser and John Edward Russ; brother, Royce Wray; sisters, Lula Belle Besancon and Floyce Holland and a nephew, Vicky Besancon.
She is survived by her daughters, Jayne Gaiser Laster of Springdale and Brenda Gaiser Bowlin of East Prairie, Missouri; step-daughter, Sherry Russ Smith (Michael) of Mabelvale; step-son, Mike Russ of Alexander; grandchildren, Brent Laster of Overland Park, Kansas, Stacy Laster of Houston, Texas, Kent Bowlin of Columbia, South Carolina and Jessica Smith of Little Rock; great-granddaughter, Hannah Laster of Overland Park, Kansas; her beloved four nephews & two nieces and her special friends, Linda Gayle Collett, Chris Wright and Roena Howell.
Violet loved and was loved by her family and friends; and she will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers will be Bill Zimmerebner, Harvey Brewer, Michael Smith, Bob Wray, Mike Russ and Mel Galatas.
Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18 at Ashby Funeral Home with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Care Center @ 508 W. North St in Benton, Ar 72015 or the Saline County Humane Society @ 7600 Bauxite Hwy in Bauxite, Ar 72011.
