December 21, 1884 - November 18, 1954
Mrs. Ebenezer (Katie) Adams, 712 of Bluff City died in a local hospital Thursday 2:25 p.m. Mrs. Adams was a lifelong resident of the Bluff City Community, and a member of the Methodist Church. Survived by her husband, one son; James T. Adams of Cullendale, five sisters; Mrs. Lillie R. Wallace of Conway, Mrs. Fannie Patrick of Tulsa, Okla. Mrs. Mary E. Moseley of Monroe, La., Mrs. Alice Sehon of Huttig, Mrs. Lucille DeWoody of Oklahoma City; one brother, Homer A. Rushing of Little Rock, and one grandson. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Baptist Church in Bluff City with Rev. H. R> Nabors officiating. Burial will be in the Bluff City Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home will be in charge. Active pallbearers will be Billy Adams, James Scott, Billy Joe Walthall, M. V. Chance, and Tommy Kirk. Honorary pall bearers will be Dr. J. L. Rushing, Garland Rushing, W. E. Rushing, Clote Walthall, Ed Harvey, Connie Harvey, Dr. L. E. Drewrey, Crawford Adams, D. O. Meadows and Jesse Bradley. (Camden News - November 19, 1954)
