Lucy J. Foster, 90, of Little Rock, passed away January 1, 2013.
She was born in Taylor, Texas on January 16, 1922 to Henry Haywood Johnson and Eva Helms Johnson.
She was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edgar H. Foster whom she married on September 7, 1941, and grandson, Fred Jones.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana; three children, Linda Jones and William Paul Foster, both of Little Rock and David Newell Foster (Liz) of Arizona; four grandchildren, Shirley Forehand of Maumelle, Daniel Stewart Foster (Eva) of Arizona, Olivia Kathryn Kerwin (Razmus) of Missouri and Betsy Lomaz of Tennessee; and seven great-grandchildren, Kyle Forehand, Parker Forehand and Shelby Forehand of Maumelle, Adam Foster, Mary Foster and Grace Foster of Arizona, and Will Lomaz of Tennessee.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Vic Nixon, Dr. Jeff Hampton and Rev. Lynn Lindsey.
A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church or the Arkansas Chapter of the Methodist Federation for Social Action.
