August 16, 1937 - October 26, 2020
Bobbie Nell Powell Carpenter age 83 of El Dorado passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Bobbie was born on August 16, 1937 in El Dorado to the late Birdie Lee Moore Powell and Jesse Powell. Bobbie started playing piano and organ at Henderson United Methodist Church in Little Rock in 1958. Since then, she has played at numerous churches over the years. She was a current member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in El Dorado, where she was currently serving as pianist. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially loved visiting and talking with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always called her family on their birthday and never forgot to send a card. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kenneth Ray Bougher; one great grandson, Alex Bougher; one brother, Macy A. Powell, and one sister, LaFrieda DeBruin. Survivors include; two daughters, Debra Barnes Deleon and husband Brian of Ft. Worth, TX, June Carpenter Lujan of Austin, TX; Eleven Grandchildren, Vickie Harrison, Kenneth Ray Bougher Jr., Christopher Lujan, Cole Collier, Amber Allen, Micah Collier, Shana McQueen, Zach Barnes, Shelby Brown, Andrew Lujan, and Jacob Lujan; fourteen great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:30 P.M. on Friday, October 30. 2020 at Bailey Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M. at Craig Cemetery, with Bro. Winston Roden officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
