December 17, 1940 - December 6, 2021
Shirley Yvonne Gardner age 80 of El Dorado passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at her daughter’s home near Emerson, AR, just days shy of her 81st birthday. Shirley was born on December 17, 1940 in Union County to the late Audrey Moore Smith and George Lafayette Smith. She formerly worked as a secretary for Pilgrims Pride Poultry, was a member of East Faulkner Church of Christ and was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, whom will be missed by all.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and by two brothers, Jack D. Smith and Ronnie H. Smith.
Survivors include; one son, Clete B. Gardner of El Dorado; one daughter, Jodi Taylor and husband Steve of Emerson; two grandchildren, Aimee Morgan of Morgan City, LA, and Weston Taylor and wife Amber, of Emerson; one step granddaughter, Myra Smith and husband Jason of Haynesville, LA; ten great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Craig Cemetery, off of Hibanks Road, with Scott Johnson officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.
