Mary J. Griffith, 70 of Fort Smith, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013.
She was born October 15, 1943 in Fayetteville to the late Audie and Melissa Webb.
She was a member of Rye Hill Baptist Church and a retired x-ray technician from Cooper Clinic.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bob D. Griffith, and one sister; JoAnn Griffith.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Rye Hill Baptist Church with entombment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
Mrs. Griffith is survived by her daughter, Martha Griffith of Norman, OK, her sister Betty A. Lipe of Ft. Smith, her aunt Marjorie Mabry of Fayetteville; eight Nieces; Rochelle Thomas and her husband Bryan of Mountainburg, Neila Dean and her husband Chris of Rock Hill, SC, Neita Buscher and her husband Bruce of Union, MO, Lisa Burklow of Ft. Smith, Georgette Beshears and her husband Jeff of Maumelle, Amanda Griffith of Greenwood, Jami Coleman and her husband Ryan of Ft. Smith, and Paula Schrik and her husband Don of Rogers. Mrs. Griffith is survived by two nephews; Scott "Bud" Griffith and his wife Sara of Ft. Smith, and James R. Grady and his wife Kendra of Fayetteville. She is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Mitchael, Jerry England, George Griffith, George Weir, Mike Pope, and Robert Champion. Honorary pallbearers will be Orville Bittle and Doyle Thresher.
