Mr. Lewis Richard Gulledge, 82 of Hamburg, AR died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett, AR. He was a native of Parkdale, AR but a resident of Hamburg for the past 57 years. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army where he received a victory ribbon. He was a retired railroad conductor for Ashley Drew and Northern and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Gulledge was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Burt Dalice and Clara Mae Coulter Gulledge; three brothers: Dalice, Norman, and Leroy Gulledge; and two sisters: Myrtis Murphy and Opal Skender.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Elizabeth Ann Royal Gulledge of Hamburg, AR; three sons: Danny Gulledge of Hamburg, AR, Lewis Richard Gulledge, Jr. of Eureka Springs, AR, and Keith Gulledge and wife Lisa of Hamburg, AR; two daughters: Martha Crane and husband Douglas of Montrose, AR and Misty Kelley and husband Robert of Hamburg, AR; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 21, 2011 at Southside Baptist Church at 10:30A.M. with Bro. Charles Pullin and Bro. Edward Gulledge officiating. Pallbearers are Glen Lawson, Shan Streeter, Bill Sellers, Leland Johnson, Herman Mormon, Jr., John Dailey, John Dumas, Johnny Seach, and Sammy Wallace. Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 6:00-8:00P.M. at Southside Baptist Church. Interment will be at Promiseland Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Elizabeth “Tiny Ann” Gulledge, 86, of Hamburg, died Sunday, May 9, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Gulledge was a native of the Mount Pleasant Community east of Hamburg and a lifelong resident of Ashley County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Baptist Church. Family was Mrs. Gulledge’s life and she loved taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family, fishing with her husband and crocheting.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lewis Gulledge in 2011; her parents, Frank Louis & Cynthia Rilla Howie Royal; a brother, Aubrey “Bud” Royal and five sisters, Iner Mae Luker, Louise Huffman, Muriel Williamson, Madel Griffin and Maxine Murphy.

She is survived by two daughters, Martha Crane and husband, Douglas, of Montrose and Misty Kelley and husband, Robert, of Hamburg; three sons, Danny Gulledge of Hamburg, Ricky Gulledge of Eureka Springs and Keith Gulledge of Hamburg; a sister, Mavis McCown of Gladewater, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jim Gulledge, Jeanne Gulledge, Staci Cessor, Jacob Gulledge, Kelci Gulledge, Blair Gulledge, Charles Kelley and Amanda Kelley; seven great-grandchildren, Lainee, Jaxson, Claire, Gracie, Mason, Lily and Reid; three special family members, Clara Wood, Diann Gulledge and Jim McEvoy and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Huffman, John Dailey and Rev. Lamar Huffman officiating. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery. Pallbearers are Sammy Wallace, Lamar Higginbotham, Marc Collins, John Dailey, Pete Rice and Bud Henderson. Memorials may be made to the Promise Land Cemetery Association, c/o Lindsey Brooks, 427 Ashley Road 70, Hamburg, AR 71646.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
