Mrs. Lane was born on January 7, 1928 in Ashley County, Ark. where she was raised and received her early education. Lois graduated from Hamburg High School as a member of its 1946 class. One of her great joys was returning for her class reunions and seeing old friends and family. Lois married the love of her life, Roy Lynn Lane, on August 31, 1952 and spent the next 56 years by his side. During their marriage, six children which they loved very much entered their lives. She enjoyed gardening, photography, ceramics, traveling with Roy in their RV, making new friends. Though she had many personal interests, her primary goal in life was making sure her family had all that they needed to be successful in life. Her "You can do it" attitude always made everyone feel that they could! Family, friend, or stranger, everyone she met in life was precious to her.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lynn Lane, daughter, Phyllis Lane Hurlburt, mother and father, Mary Magdelene "Anna" and Thomas Fulton Brantley, Sr., brothers, Louis Brantley, Ralph Brantley, Edmond Brantley, Walter Brantley, sisters, Mary Ruffino, Thelma Griffin, Willa Edna Jackson, and Margurite Bohannan.
Her Church family will certainly miss her as their church librarian, with her smiling face and encouraging words to everyone she met!
Lois will be missed by all who know her but particularly by her children, Doris Lane Woodruff, Judy Lynn Williams, Barry Lane, Terry Lane, Alan Lane, as well as, her sister, Mollie Thomas; the many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews; great neighbors; cousins and friends, from so many parts of her life, will miss her but remember how their lives were touched by this wonderful woman.
