Stacy Lee Adams heard Jesus call his name and he went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 22, 2016 as the heavens rejoiced and the angels sang. Stacy was born on July 29, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his adoring wife of over 36 years, Lula Wynelle (Nell); his father, Walter A. Adams; his mother, Clara M. Adams; sisters, Dorothy Brown, Marie Clark and Carolyn Hudson; brothers, Benny and Dean Adams and granddaughter, Detra Mann.
He is survived by four daughters, three sons, sister, two brothers, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. He loved the Lord with all his heart and never missed an opportunity to witness and tell others about the love of his life, Jesus.
Stacy served in the Marines as a Buck Sergeant during the Korean War. He loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He was especially proud of his muscadine vineyard, his garden and his flower beds.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home
*When Lula Wynelle Potter was born on August 18, 1936, in Nauvoo, Alabama, her father, Ruben, was 18, and her mother, Lula, was 19. She married Stacy Lee Adams and they had two children together. She also had one son and two daughters with Robert Hoyt Carmichael. She died on February 13, 2003, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 66, and was buried in Alexander, Arkansas.
