Mrs. Charles E. Neel (Ann, Cookie) of Benton, Arkansas, residing in Audubon, Pennsylvania, joined the church triumphant on November 19, 2008 at the age of 96. She was born in Marble Hill, Missouri to Anna Drum Snider and George Burette Snider on April 11, 1912. Ann Graduated from the University of Missouri. She taught school in Farmington, Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, University City, Missouri and Howard Perrin Elementary School in Benton, Arkansas for ten years. Ann was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church in Benton. She was preceded in death by her adored husband of 60 years, Charles E. Neel, her parents, a brother George Snider and a sister Ellen Graham.

Survivors are a wonderful daughter, Ann and her husband, Juan de Leon of Audubon, PA, grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann and her husband, DR. John Leaton of Harrisburg, VA, Mary Robin and her husband, The Rev. Aron Gibson of Los Angeles, CA, Michael and his wife, Sarah de Leon of Eagan, MN, and Captain Paul de Leon of Arlington, VA. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 9:30 AM at First United Methodist Church in Benton with burial at Pine Crest Cemetery. Minister will be Dr. George McCoy.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Ashby’s.
