Ruth Rae Nixon Graham, 86, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, in a local hospital. She was the daughter of Hubert Harrison and Ada Belle (Andrews) Nixon, born September 5, 1910 in Lavaca, Arkansas.
The wife of Albert Graham, she was a retired verifier for Weldon, Williams and Lick where she was employed for more than 27 years. She was a member of Weldon, Williams and Lick Ticket Champions and a member of Lavaca United Methodist Church.
Funeral was at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was survived by two daughters, Dorothy Bittle of the home and Doris Dillahunty of Fort Smith; two sisters, Ruby Spencer of Lavaca and Ferne Little of Indianola, Miss.; a brother, Herman Nixon of Lavaca; two granddaughters, Jan White of Arlington and Kaay Shackelford of Kingswood, and great-granddaughters.
Pallbearers were Rev. Robert Spencer, Hugh and Bruce Spencer, Rev. Vic, Ken and Wade Nixon.
